Alexandre Paulikevitch was born in 1982 in Beirut, Lebanon and currently lives there. In 2000 he graduated from the University of Paris VIII with a degree in Theater and Dance. He was trained with various women dance icons in the Arab world. His research, art practice, and pedagogy revolves around creating spaces of reflection on "Baladi Dance" commonly known in the west as "belly dancing." He performs in spaces ranging from underground parties to theatre festivals and museums. 

 

The workshop was hosted by Sheila Buikdanscentrum. We immersed in Baladi Dance technique, discovered new ways of moving and freed our bodies furthermore. All levels of dancers were welcome to join!
