Insane is a Rotterdam-based queer and genderfluid DJ and artist/designer who mostly plays music from the broad and eclectic genre of deconstructed club. They are interested in decolonising and decentralising experimental electronic music by highlighting experimental music by non-western artists. Active both nationally and internationally, they have played for radio stations like RinseFM, Ma3azef Radio and Radio Ensayo as well as making mixes for collectives abroad like Club Matryoshka, Circa A.D. and GhettoWitchez.
Filled with darkness and hypnotic rhythms, they have made an experimental dj set that represents growing up as a queer, genderfluid person inbetween two cultures (Dutch/Indonesian, European/South-East Asian).
